Project Details
University of Nebraska - Lincoln Jorgensen Hall
Theodore Jorgensen Hall contains four different departments: condensed matter physics (CMP); atomic, molecular, optical and plasma (AMOP); high energy physics (HEP); and astronomy. The project is 125,000 SF within a four-story structural steel replacement frame and is located over a high water table. It was designed to avoid vibration interference for the sensitive experiments that occur within the building.
All labs have some type of chemical fume hood, laminar flow hood or other variants that support specialty ductwork. Labs also include optical tables, mobile benches, overhead service carriers, overhead laser shelves, laboratory grade casework, epoxy resin countertops, wire mould (power and data) and radiant ceiling panels above windows.
