Army National Guard Aviation Support Facility

The Army Aviation Support Facility located in Grand Island, Nebraska consists of three buildings totaling 100,000 SF. This project was constructed on a 50 acre site that supports inspections, maintenance, repair and servicing of authorized rotary winged aircraft. The aircraft are used for training, natural disaster relief and combat. Programmed facilities include environmentally controlled maintenance hangar bays with allied shops, overhead cranes, administrative training, storage areas and an unheated aircraft storage facility. The buildings include a maintenance hangar of 35,000 SF, an unheated storage hangar of 36,000 SF with 29,000 SF for maintenance support shops and administration areas. 

Support construction includes concrete access road, hover lanes, parking for aircraft and Government Owned Vehicles and asphalt parking for Private Owned Vehicles. Other site construction includes sidewalks, site lighting, fencing and site security meausures.
