Project Details
York General Hospital
York General Hospital is a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital with services that include: inpatient, emergency, lab, pharmacy, pulmonary, surgical, radiology, physical, speech, occupational therapies, a specialty clinic, as well as support services.
Phase one consisted of work to the utility yard, site work around the north side of the building, a new sanitary sewer line around the northwest patient wing, demolition of the existing east and northeast patient wings, a new shelled in emergency department and a new northeast patient wing.
Phase two consisted of removing the existing northwest patient wing and constructing a new one. In phases one and two, the existing north patient wing and the LDRP wing was kept in operation in order to maintain a minimum of 18 patient rooms for a potential of 19 beds. Also included in phase two was a new dietary addition and renovation.
Phase three included the demolition of the former north patient wing and interior renovations around the existing nursing stations. The existing dietary area was renovated into a new lab.
Phase four consisted of the renovation of the existing pharmacy, as well as the emergency department shell space. In this phase, the pharmacy was temporarily relocated to allow for renovations.
Phase five included over 68,000 SF of addition and renovations.
