NDCS Reception & Treatment Center

The NDCS Reception and Treatment Center project represents a significant achievement in correctional facility design and construction. By bringing together two separate facilities into a single, modernized complex, the Reception and Treatment Center provides improved amenities and services to both staff and inmates. With the addition of 32 residential mental health beds and a skilled nursing facility, the Center is equipped to provide top-quality care to those in need. Additionally, the updates to the kitchen, dining halls, library, visitation spaces, office areas, and medical center with dental and medical suites demonstrate a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for all those within the facility. The inclusion of staff areas such as a workout center, men’s and women’s locker rooms, break areas, a staff dining room, and training space also highlights the importance of investing in the well-being and professional development of correctional staff. Overall, the 114,000 SF addition and 3,200 SF renovation represents a significant step forward in correctional facility design and management, and a commitment to safety.
