Nebraska Innovation Campus Food Innovation Center

The Nebraska Innovation Campus Food Science and Technology building consists of research laboratories, classrooms, teaching labs, pilot plant space, offices, faculty and student space. The University of Nebraska-Lincoln will lease the majority of the 170,00 SF building while ConAgra Foods will occupy the pilot plant. The building provides more space to do research in food processing, safety, allergens and nutrition while also designating classrooms for chemistry, microbiology and food product development. The four story building is a new cast-in-place concrete structure attached to a new steel frame structure inside existing historical walls which are being restored. Services include natural gas, purified water, tempered water and lab air with most spaces equipped with acid waste drainage piping.
