Benedictine Mission House
The St. Benedict Center is a non-profit, ecumenical retreat and conference center, founded by the Missionary Benedictines of Christ the King Priory. This facility sits on 160 acres and serves individuals who are searching for personal and spiritual growth. The center is an addition to the existing monastery that Sampson originally constructed in 1997. The land includes a man-made lake, a large park and beautiful scenery.
With the addition, the center increased its number of beds from 70 to 100 for overnight guests. The communal areas include: a solarium with a fireplace; a small library; an amphitheater; a commercial kitchen; three dining rooms; and seven conference rooms. The conference areas can hold parties of 300. The lake is about four acres and hosts a beautiful bronze statue of St. Benedict.
