65 years & growing: Sampson Construction to expand presence in Lincoln, Nebraska
Lincoln, Neb: Sampson Construction, a leader in commercial construction for more than 65 years, announced today plans to relocate its Lincoln headquarters to 5825 South 14th Street. Sampson Construction originally built the building in 1999 and has since been occupied by Fiserv. The 54,000 square foot building was built on an aggressive 10-month schedule and is one of three buildings built by Sampson Construction on the Fiserv Campus.
“2018 was the best year on record for Sampson Construction,” said Cori Sampson Vokoun, Vice President of Strategic Operations. “We have had more activity this year than ever. Sampson Construction continues to advance year after year. We are thrilled to expand our operations in Lincoln to a new space, allowing us to better serve our clients and employees.”
Sampson Construction has made plans to relocate in Lincoln in the past and even built two buildings with intentions to move its headquarters there, however, existing clients purchased the buildings for their own use. After several years of searching, Sampson Construction has found a new place to call home.
The new headquarters will house Sampson Construction’s 200+ employees in Lincoln and include convenient spaces for collaborations between teams. Over the past two years, the company has added 70+ employees across its entire footprint and now employs 300+ people. Sampson Construction has five offices in the Midwest and Rocky Mountain areas; headquarters in Lincoln, and locations in Kearney, Omaha, Johnstown, Colorado and Cheyenne, Wyoming and has had projects in 12 states across the country.
Over the past year, Sampson Construction is working on several key projects in the Lincoln and Omaha area including:
- 15,000 square foot renovation at Morrill Hall on the University of Nebraska - Lincoln campus
- Replacement of the HVAC system, windows, and raising of ceilings at the Nebraska Capitol Building
- New 75,000 square foot elementary school in Bennington
- Papillion Landing Community Recreation Center
These are just a few of the many projects Sampson Construction is currently doing. The company’s core values and passion continue to enable them to deliver the best possible construction services to clients. After 65 years, Sampson Construction remains a long-term, trusted partner in the local community. The expansion demonstrates Sampson Construction’s commitment to serve and continue to grow its presence in and around Lincoln.
