The new Kearney High School building was turned over to the (Kearney Public Schools) District in July, while work continued in the building to fine-tune systems and work on final details. The new 340,400 SF school was completed in less than two years. Teachers began unpacking their classrooms August 4th, followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony with speakers and tours August 15th, and students returned to school for the first day of classes August 24th.
