One Day Without Shoes

Sampson Construction’s Lincoln office served as one of more than 100 drop-off sites for ‘One Day Without Shoes’ this April. Shoe donations of all size and condition were gathered across Lincoln to be distributed by People’s City Mission. Sampson employees participated in the 5th annual event sponsored by Cornhusker Bank, which resulted in donations of more than 16,100 pairs of shoes. Shoes in good condition are made available to those in need, while People’s City Mission sells unwearable shoes as recycled material. Money raised from the recycled shoes is used by the Mission to continue serving at-risk families.
