Sampson Construction uses large crane to complete $100 million project at GPRMC
A crane standing 230 feet high and weighing 255,000 pounds is being used to complete a 5-story, 100-foot tall tower containing dozens of new patient rooms and a new atrium in the brand new addition to the Great Plains Regional Medical Center. Troy Pfeifer, Project Manager with Sampson Construction, said the crane, “can lift 44,000 pounds at the base and 7,200 pounds at the very tip. The arm is 246 feet long.”
