Sadoff Iron & Metal

Sadoff Iron & Metal

Sadoff Iron & Metal’s new building sits on 10.6 acres at Lincoln’s Airport Industrial Park. The company recycles scrap metal and electronics.

The new facility is located on a “brownfield” site that is contaminated with petroleum from the Lincoln Air Force Base fuel farm. This re-use type of arrangement is a win-win for both companies. The new site includes a new warehouse, office, and scrapyard. The plant buys and recycles nonferrous metals such as brass, aluminum, copper and also some electronics equipment and sells the metal regionally, nationally and internationally. The building, which contains the warehouse and office, consists of pre-cast concrete walls and metal stud framing with EIFS and concrete block veneer for the office, EPDM roof for the warehouse and Light Gage metal trusses with a standing seam metal roof for the office. The recycling plant was designed for ease-of-use ingress and egress traffic patterns and includes security cameras and radiation detection.
