Eiseley and Walt Library

The Loren Corey Eiseley and Bess Dodson Walt Libraries were built simultaneously and feature bright graphics and signage for promoting eco-friendliness. Other features include telecommunication and audio-visual systems that maximize flexibility for current and future technology.
The 30,000 SF libraries feature a 200 foot long "main street" and create a circulation spine in the middle. Bright graphics and signage created a fun environment, which was complimented by the natural light from the ample amount of windows. The integration of data, telecommunication and audio-visual systems created maximum flexibility for current and future technology. Both libraries feature green design elements through signage which was used to raise public awareness about the responsibility for the protection of the environment. The project also included a geothermal well system.
