Scheels Grand Opening in Lincoln

It was a great day for the Sampson team and Lincoln community as the brand new, 220,000 SF Scheels held its grand opening. After much awaited anticipation, the public was able to check out the store at 5 p.m. on September 27. Sampson Construction has had the privilege to partner with Scheels on construction of its retail stores and distribution support facilities throughout the United States. The Scheels in Lincoln features a 45-foot tall ferris wheel, a 16,000 gallon fish tank, arcade games, a restaurant and candy store. On the second floor, in the toy store, stands a lego figure of Lil' Red, the mascot of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, made up of 127,000 legos!
