Sandhills Global Youth Complex
The Sandhills Global Youth Complex is the first baseball and softball complex of its kind in the state of Nebraska. It provides 8 turfed fields in total, two championship fields (one each for both baseball and softball), 5 youth fields that can be used for both baseball and softball and one field that will be the new home of Homer’s Heroes for mentally and physically challenged youth.
The site is approximately 42 acres with outfield areas of each field that could also be used to accommodate flag football, soccer, lacrosse and other sports, providing at least 15 fields of play for the complex. The complex will also house Nebraska Wesleyan University’s baseball and softball programs, providing a new home for the Prairie Wolves, who currently play at Woods Park and University Place Park, respectively.
Sampson Construction is grateful to everyone who helped make this vision a reality and are honored to have been part of bringing this incredible facility to life. This project was a true collaboration, and we appreciate the dedication of everyone involved in making it happen.
