The historic Sherman Field ballpark in Lincoln, NE, will be named for Morris "Sam" and Evelyn Sampson. The Sampsons founded Sampson Construction in 1952. The naming also honors a substantial donation being made by their son and current president, John Sampson. Lincoln Mayor Chris Beutler made this public announcement and noted that this donation of labor and materials is one of the largest ever made to Lincoln’s City Parks and Recreation programs.
