On November 18, 2011 in Curtis, Nebraska, officials from University of Nebraska’s College of Technical Agriculture (NCTA) and Sampson Construction celebrated the completion of the new Nebraska Agriculture Industry Education Center on the NCTA campus. On October 18, 2011, a ground breaking ceremony was held for a new state-of-the-art childhood development center in Lincoln. Sampson Construction will serve as Construction Manager for the 32,000 SF project and the connection between the new facility and existing Belmont Elementary School. On October 5, 2011, the Sampson Safety department recognized the Gothenburg Memorial Hospital jobsite for achieving the highest safety rating for the month of August. In recognition a barbeque lunch was cooked onsite by the Safety team for the crew. Construction for this hospital addition is expected to reach completion early next year. On October 1, 2011, the Sampson team attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the new 100,000 SF Scheels store at Viking Plaza in Cedar Falls, Iowa. On July 19, 2011, the Cheyenne-Sampson team attended the ribbon cutting ceremony that debuted the new Personnel Building project on the Buckley Air Force Base, Colorado, to the public. This two-story administrative facility is 92,000 SF that was completed February 2011 and was designed/constructed to achieve a LEED Silver certification rating. On July 18, 2011, the 19th & Vine Parking Garage on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus achieved a LEED Silver Certification. On July 17, 2011, the Sampson team attended a ground breaking ceremony for New Life Assembly in Kearney, Nebraska. The 18,800 SF expansion will provide additional space for children and youth facilities, offices, along with parking upgrades. This project is expected to reach completion next summer.
