University and Eastside Suites - University of Nebraska-Lincoln

University Suites and Eastside Suites is an expansion of the original Robert E. Knoll Hall project, which was completed in June 2010. The new complex adds 1,034 beds and provides students with the convenience of being on-campus, along with the modern comforts of home –all at an affordable cost.

Knoll Residential Center, University Suites and Eastside Suites have become preferred on-campus housing options for students, offering independent suite-style living on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus. This style of housing is not only popular, but is also energy-efficient, which lends to its affordability. Two types of rooms are available, with each suite accommodating four students – double bedrooms with two students per room and four-person single bedroom units. Suite-syle units feature a snack-prep area with full size refrigerator and microwave, sink and counterop area, a living room, as well as private in-suite showers and vanities. Unique aspects of the project include: glass enclosure walkways between the residential towers, pavillions with audio visual capabilities, a convenience store and continental breakfast area shared beetween halls and game rooms and commons areas that were designed with Robert E. Knoll’s concept of student learning in mind. The nearly 400,000 SF of construction was completed in record time.
