Shelton Public Schools

In the fall of 2013, the Shelton community passed a bond to complete a gymnasium addition and central office reconfiguration. The project began in May 2014.

The project consisted of 19,060 SF of new construction, which included a competition gymnasium, commons space and 2,300 SF of central office renovations to the existing Shelton Senior High School. The fire alarm was also upgrade throughout the existing school. The new construction is a pre-engineered metal building with standing seam metal roof, while the Commons space, which includes restrooms and a concessions area, was constructed out of concrete block and structural steel. The fa├žade of the Commons is brick veneer and the area has a fully adhered EPDM roof. A colored concrete floor which was polished to shine is unique to the Commons and restrooms, and will provide a low maintenance finish. The project also added 46,000 SF of concrete paving. The entire project was substantially complete in early March 2015.
