Resurrection Christian School

The Resurrection Christian School (RCS) is a private school for grades K through 12, founded in 1997. RCS worked in collaboration with Sampson Construction Co., Inc. on design and pre-construction efforts for a two-story addition.

The project addition includes eight new classrooms, two new science rooms, one full-size gymnasium with locker rooms and a concession area with lobby, a team room (where teams meet during halftime), a staff room with an individual bathroom, an art room with a kiln room attached, a band room, a vocal music room with two offices and three practice rooms split between the band and vocal rooms, new men’s and women’s bathrooms, a couple of new storage rooms, and new mechanical and electrical rooms. The basement addition is a weight room, training room and storage room for now, that will be a classroom eventually. The classrooms will attach to the latest addition that was completed in 2006, and will respect its interior floor plan and exterior finishes. The gymnasium addition will use similar materials as its exterior. The total floor area for the addition is approximately 51,000 SF. In addition to the building and its systems, site work is anticipated to include grading, utilities, fire department access, parking, and landscaping.
