Lincoln Northeast High School

Northeast High school opened its doors on September 9, 1941 with 26 classrooms, a swimming pool and vocational agricultural wing. Since, there have been over 10 additions to the school, with the most recent including geothermal efficiencies for the 320,000 SF building.
The Northeast High School renovations included an upgrade of the mechanical/electrical systems in the building with a geothermal well field designed for a 320,000 SF building. Other aspects of this project were a two-story 32,500 SF science/classroom wing, a 15,770 SF cafeteria and commons addition, and the auditorium. While performing all of the necessary scopes of the construction project, the building remained occupied with approximately 1,450 students and staff. A phasing schedule was generated to assist in the necessary coordination between the staff and the contractors to assure a safe and successful project.
