Lincoln High School

Lincoln High School was originally founded in 1871 and built in 1915. It is the oldest of the six public comprehensive high schools in the city making any renovation/addition challenging.

With over 140 years of community service, more than 40,000 students have graduated from LHS.  Sampson Construction completed the renovation that includes approximately 425,000 SF and adding 4,500 SF to the south end of this historical building.  The entire project took place while the school was in operation.  This project involved a kitchen/cafeteria expansion with new equipment and restoration to the original 1915 auditorium, which included: new seating and seating layout, lights, rigging, sound system, drama studio, and drama scene shop.  Also, the school library/media center received new roofing and restoration of the brick/terra cotta/limestone fa├žade.  The existing baseball field and existing parking lots was replaced with new facilities, along with replacing and adding trees and shrubs.
