Johnson Hall Renovation | Nebraska Wesleyan University

The Johnson Hall dormitory on the Nebraska Wesleyan University received a substantial renovation during the 2012 summer. Students were greeted by new modern amenities, such as: air conditioning, aesthetic upgrades and many other enhancements.

Nebraska Wesleyan University renovated its most historic residential facility during the summer break. Johnson Hall student housing is home to approximately 100 first year female students. Maintaining the historical integrity of the building was a top priority. Major enhancements included: a new cooling system; a new elevator on north side; and improving accessibility by reconfiguring west entrance; and modifying three student rooms on first floor. The remodeling focused on upgrades that made the building more energy efficient, accessible, and refurbished the aesthetics of the dormitory. Safety enhancements included widening and reconfiguring exit doorways and improving the fire alarm system to accompaniment the existing fire sprinkler system.
