Fuhrer Field House Expansion - Doane College

Fuhrer Field house is a 43 year old facility and in 2014 received an updated and major expansion that will now be able to host regional college and high school track meets with ease.

The Fuhrer Field House renovation on the Doane Campus in Crete is a change that can be utilized by all athletic teams and athletes. The track team is just one of the teams that experience the largest update by a regulation 200 meter oval indoor track and designated area for long jump and high jump. On the interior of the track there will be four court sports for recreation. Other areas that were renovated is the high performance Mondo sports surface for the arena’s floors, new lounge and lobby that can be used as a pre-game space, dedicated space for concessions, 27 feet of built-in trophy cases, renovated existing weight room, a new corridor which allows access from one end of arena to other without being on the track, storage area, reconstructed locker room for the visiting teams, remodeled home team locker rooms with pro-style wood lockers, additional 684 seating for a total of 1,130 for track meets, and the entire facility received an upgrade to the HVAC and electrical systems.
