Eugene T. Mahoney State Park Family Aquatic Center

In June 2002, the aquatic center at the popular Eugene T. Mahoney State Park received upgrades and a new zero-entry wave pool with a spray and water features.

This project was a renovation as well as new construction which involved the new zero entry wave pool, mechanical building, construction of two bathhouses, and renovation of the existing bathhouse into concession, office, maintenance, and first aid space. The mechanical building attached to the wave pool house which contains the wave generation equipment, wave chamber structures and other mechanical systems for the entire facility. The zero entry wave pool also contains a play area with spray and water play features. Sampson Construction replaced all of the concrete pool decks around the existing pool in addition to the pool decks for the new pool and bathhouse areas.
