Aurora Aquatic Facility

The Aurora community was very excited at the many amenities at the aquatic center.

The new aquatic center, with a capacity of 500 people, was built adjacent to the old pool which was razed right after the 2013 summer season. The aquatic center features many additional features that the former pool did not have. There are two intertwining slides, zero-depth entry and cascading water and fountains in the shallow end as well as a regulation diving board, six racing lanes and an area for swimming and aerobic classes. The perimeter of the pool will have space for sunbathing with umbrellas and shade screens.

One of the two buildings encloses the mechanical equipment and maintenance tools. The bathhouse has an entrance check-in, locker rooms with showers, and concessions. Each of the buildings is constructed of split-faced CMU with wood trusses and standing seam metal roof.
